Here is a link to some photos I took, it looks like Sunday is a little thin on car entries...most of the field where a lot of the cars I took photos of two years ago was empty this year. I got some photos of the winners though...might get some scale build ides from those. http://www.flickr.com/photos/blunc/sets/72157642306468053/

Hello everyone, this is a new build I started it's one of my entries for this years Cannonball Run cbp as the title says it's a 32 Ford Sedan Street Rod from Revell. I plan to build it as a custom Hot Rod that will house two 426 Hemi's, chop the top, and do a few other things that I'll keep secret for now. I haven't really decided on a color yet, I'm thinking about a nice candy apple red but it's subject to change. I just started to build the frame, I thought it would be better to build a frame rather than extend the original. So after some planing, burnt fingers and a few choice words this is what I got. This is also my first attempt at a custom frame so we'll see where it goes. That's where it's at right now, I'll start re-building a 67 GTX soon for the same contest, I just want to get this a little further along seeings how this is uncharted water for me. Thanks for looking!

O.K.....I don't actually know if it's the world's fastest. In fact, it probably isn't. But, it's definitely in the running for world's coolest Some very creative engineerin was required to stuff a 302 into that engine bay No room for a radiator under the hood, so... ...They stuck it in the back. Speaking of the back end: I took these pictures at the American Legion post 11-11 in Broomfield, Co last Memorial Day.

Well after a 5 year break I have decided to start this bad habit agin. I thought my wife was going to shoot me becuse I have around 40 unbuilt kits already but when I saw this Firebomb for $26 bucks on ebay and also I built one when I was a kid in 76, so I was hooked. I look from time to time and they usually between $50 & $100. So I saved her some money. Thas what she would say to me if she bought somthing at a good price. Any way I decide to keep it simple and just have fun so I do not get burnt out agin. I plain to buld it box stock but clean and move some stuff around to make it just a little different. The mock up below shows what I mean. I never liked the fire hose on the front so I am going to move the latter up and it back, and sence its back there I figuered it mad sence to put the gauge panal back there too, that leaves me room for the fire decals on both sides. Wish me luck. Lazlow Ps. one part is missing and one is broke off and gone so over in the want area I have posted hopfuly to find them. Ineed one of the big sirens and one side of the injecter stacks, and maby a copy off some ones directions so I can take it to a show if it comes out alright.

This is my 1964 chevy fleetside. Decided to hit it with a camo paint job. I used a sponge tecnique for the camo. Its layed on over a custom mixed grey base coat. I lowered it a bit and added heater hoses and plug wires. Just wanted a fun buil without any paint headaches. The bed is hand painted, the decals are from doctorcrankyslabratory.com. Anyone care to help me figure out how not to post pics as thumbnails? I would apreciate it.

Okay it's sectioned not chopped. When I did the other '34 sedan that I just finished, I took very little out of the body section. I took it out between the two body bands but not the cowl, so the side windows were full but the windshield got a chop. This one is chopped below the two body bands and I took out twice as much plastic... Just to see what it would look like. The blue tape shows how much is coming out. I usually do my cutting with my little battery powered drill. You can see the perforations for the first cut here OOPS! Buncha parts! The band on the right is the section of about 6" in scale. The section on my other car is about 3" scale And here we are glued back together. As I said above, I cut with my small drill, creating tight perforations. Then I score it from the back and it just comes apart like ripping two stamps apart. I clean up the edges, but they actually work well for gluing with Zap-A-Gap and creates a lot of room to bite. Note that I had to cut a small slice out of the door to move it back so the front door line would match. Now we play with putty and shoot some primer to see how we did... A tutorial on this board showed me a neat way to Z a chassis so that's the next step. While I kept the last one at a standard height but sectioned over the rails, this one may go real low! Comments?

Hey. I thought would finally put this up. I built this about 9 years ago as an my idea of what i would like to own as a late style sixties street rod. Its a very basic model not my most detailed or best finished build but one of my favourites never the less ! This is loosely based on what was being built in Australia at the time. After looking at lots of pictures of rods from the era, i noticed that there were some common themes on some of the higher end rods of the era, such as metal flake paint, chromed front and rear ends, white upholstery and firewalls and odd wheel tyre combinations. Starting with a resin body, fenders chassis, i sourced the parts from various different kits. The Y block came from the Lindberg 1/25 scale 1934 Ford Pick up,one the best kits ever made in my opinion ! Y blocks were the most popular choice of OHVs at the time in OZ because they were the most affordable. Small block chevs were still to expensive for most rodders at the time ! The chromed front and rear ends were from the Revell 1/25 scale 29 Model A Pick up. The wheel tyre combo was made up from about three different kits. The rears were from the 1/25 scale AMT 56 Victoria which also gave up its quick change rear and front wishbones, lots of good parts from this kit. The front wheels were the American Torque Thrusts from the ever reliable Revell 1/25 scale 32 3 window kit, with the tyres coming from the Revell 1/25 scale 31 Model Tudor. The grill is from an AMT 1/25 32 kit, not sure which one ! the headlight were made up from the 36 Ford buckets with Revell 1/25 scale 26 Model T Lenses ! I finished it off with Dupli Colour Automotive gold metal flake and clear clear.

While working on my vintage Vette and McLaren, I wanted to do something more out of the box type build w/some mild add-ons. I always seem to dive too deep and never get a build done, so this one is to keep the itch scratched while chugging away at those other builds that never seem to end... So here we have what someday I'd love to build in my own garage w/o having to do any major cutting, at least none w/the body. The stock grille was cut, part that was cut out of the middle filled in at the top and a custom insert was found for the center. Sorry for the poor pics, my lighting was off as I was in a hurry. Thanks, Tim

Been trying to figure out what to do with this 41 Plymouth. It's always been one of those love hate relationships. I loved it one day, then hated it the next. Decided to do a search here and see if I could find some inspiration and found some. Thor did a pickup conversion last year that I loved! So I decided to hack my Plymouth apart. I started by removing the rear fenders. Then hacked off the trunk. Needed to then modify the chassis to allow the bed to fit. More to follow. Tim

Hallo Buddies, today, i will show you a 8-Day-built. I think, the last one this year. Bought this revell Kit built in this condition: ...stripped it... ...and mad some little work on it. It took only eight evenings (less then 20 hours!) to get the result better that i thought. Take a look, what could happen, while my fingers tickle to make something new: Will start with the engine before mounting... ...and now here it is installed... ... wait a minute for the overall view...
