Scale I Build

  1. As a break from 50's chrome, I decided to build this after I saw a slammed, stanced VW. This kit is nice to build and goes together well. The rear lights went in without glue ?. I flared the arches and gave the driver an aftermarket seat and plumbed the fuel injection system. The number plate on the dashboard, seems to be a typical feature on these kind of cars in the U.K. At least, it is in West London. I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I embrace the whole spectrum of car culture. It's all about personal expression through vehicles, in my book. anyway, I hope you like it
  2. I bought a Fujimi Mini Cooper this past Christmas, with the idea of building a replica of a stanced out Mini from here in Sweden! It's not going to be a perfect replica, more my own interpretation of it, but most of it will be the same. (These are not my pics, they are borrowed!) Already from the beginning I wanted to keep the front wheels' steering mechanism intact but get a lot of negative camber at the same time, which meant that I couldn't change the geometry in the front easily. So, I decided to go the simple way and make a small piece that would push the wheels out, give me the right camber angles, but keep the rest of the geometry and steering mechanism intact. And since the real car had a set of BBS RS styled rims, I obviously went through my spare parts and found a nice set of rims that where the right size and roughly the same design as the original. Compared o the stock Mini wheels, the new ones are slightly smaller, which is good actually! Here's just a quick mock up of the wheels, angles and fitment. And the steering is still working. The rear has more negative camber than the front. Yup, a lot of weird tire wear going on here...
  3. Hey guy's. This kit is from Aoshima. It's the Vary garage demo car. It's pretty box stock except for the wheels which are resin TE37V's. Added some carbon fiber to the rear diffuser and some interior details. The color is bright aqua pearl.
  4. Hey Guys! Happy New year! Just wanted to share my last build of 2013, Aoshima's RocketBunny Scion FR-S [Toyota GT86] It's painted with Tamiya TS-8 Italian red And polished 5 times Wheels Are 17" RS Watanabes on Pirelli P-Zeroes. Thanks for Stoppin' by!
