Scale I Build

  1. Been waiting on this to come out for awhile. I had nothing to say but good things about the model, to start. However, when it came time to put the chassis on, there came a fit issue. It was a struggle to get it in right and the front never did line up quite right. There's a bit of a gap. I also found out that the hood is too short! It needs to be just a little bit longer to fit correctly. So I had to push it forward a bit and leave a small gap. However, it doesn't line up with the lines of the car either. You can see that in the pics. SAM_0065 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SA
  2. I thought this kit deserves its own thread. So we can all share the info and rumors. So far I know that it is in fact 4 doors.
  3. Hello, my name is Brad I live up in Canada (Ontario). I'm new the the board. I could use some advice and help with this huge project no pun intended. The idea is to create a 1/6 scale replica of the 1967 4 door Impala featured in "Supernatural" using 3d printed parts that I can hopefully get made into some sort of mold to create more for much less than the original cost of the 3d printed parts. I like the show a bit but I'm more about the car, I love that car. I've recently bought a 3ds max model of the 1967 impala to get started. It cost me around $100, kinda expensive I know but it was the
  4. I am making the supernatural impala again, i was planing to do this later on in the year but other projects have stalled, so this will be my main build and i will finish other projects in between, i have done this before (link if your interested: http://cs.scaleautomag.com/sca/modeling_subjects/f/29/t/107258.aspx ) so i know what to do, i will also be making this one very very detailed with all 4 doors hinged and trunk/hood also hinged. Here's my start: I decapitated the camaro (camera was playing up so i didnt' take any pics of how i joined the roof.)
  5. We've been watching the television series Supernatural and given the shows popularity, I am wondering if anyone has considered offering a '67 Impala four door hardtop in resin to replicate the car used in the series? I know that someone in Europe is casting it but I was hoping to find someone a bit closer to home. This may be a viable project for some enterprising resin guy... especially given the fact that the AMT '67 hardtop kit is still plentiful and can be had at reasonable prices.
