This project is based on the designs of Trackmobiles. Heavy Equipment tractors that have pneumatic road wheel tires as well as traction wheels for the railroad to pull rolling stock freight. Just finished this up, it's basically a snap kit with few parts but looks good on the shelf. I've been working from home but paradoxically have less time at the bench. Anyway, thanks for looking and comments welcome.

I found this kit in a box that has been stashed away for maybe 20 years so I decided it was time to make a display piece out of it. Got it cleaned up some, holes drilled, front and rear axles assembled. And in primer. Going to have to grind off those screw heads. Thanks for looking.

Here is a JD tractor that was made by Ertl back in the mid 60's. It is 1/16 die-cast and someone had replaced the front wheels and the rear wheels were broken. As Found Hosted on Fotki Filled in the seams and added a PTO shaft and 3 point hitch brackets Hosted on Fotki Made a custom steering column and added levers. Hosted on Fotki Added 3 point hitch and converted it to a wide front. Plus nice coat of paint. I vowed to never do it again. Just kidding! I've been planning, gathering supplies. And it just so happens another trove of model bits found themselves the other day. Within that group was a die cast Hummer, remnants of a '55 Stepside gluebomb, and some 1/32 rig tires. So it's time for another tractor! Rather than another beast with a 6cyl Cummins, this is getting a four-banger Datsun engine.
