A lot of old school modeling went into this little 30" x 40" layout. Most of the 1:87 scale automobiles are resin and painted by me. The buildings are kit bashed, painted and detailed. The trolleys are modified off the shelf items, but the freight motor was a used diesel switcher model before I modified it for trolley line service. The trolley line wire poles are soldered brass rod, the trolley wire is electrified and the ar trolley poles collect current. My first attempt at model railroading after a lifetime of model cars. It was a lot of fun !

In the early 1960s Lindberg produced a small line of HO model trains. A switcher and an assortment of freight cars were offered, as were freight car trucks that were exceptionally free-rolling. Reportedly Lindberg were among the first to employ Delrin in model products.
