Scale I Build

Found 14 results

  1. I'm going to be doing this little build as I’m getting back into this. The paint choice will either be a Metallic Black or Gloss Red. I will be using wheels from a 1:32 Jada Bigtime Muscle Wide Body Camaro (Shown in second pic and mock up shown in third). Planning on getting a coat of primer on the body soon. I will Update everyone as I go. Hope everyone enjoys!
  2. Built for the The '21 Cannonball Ruse community build. WIP: Tamiya Subaru Impreza (not WRC but Cannonball Ruse) with Hobby Design engine I always wanted to build this Tamiya Subaru Impreza as a private citizen road car, got the Hobby Design EJ20 engine kit a long time ago for this project. The Tamiya kit is typical awesome. The engine needed some modifications to fit. The Thule cargo box is from the Fujimi set that also has the bicycle, it was shortened and turned around, and has one rally light and a lens scavenged from a real camera. Interior has an Igloo cooler, a bunch of Monster drink cans, CB and scanner radio, camera screen, and sun visors. Built in a month, 125 hours. My intent was to not make a show car, but could be a cheap repaint of a retired rally car.
  3. I thought I would share my build process of the Revell of Germany Lancia Stratos WRC kit. I am fairly certain this is a reboxed Hasegawa kit. When I searched for reviews of this kit I found one common theme; good luck getting the body over the chassis. It is true, but more on that later. This kit has been in my stash for years and to be honest I'm not sure what caused my to pull it out and build it. I guess it was the challenge of doing all of those decals! This is a box stock build. I did not want to add any aftermarket parts or do any scratch building. The model is already finished but I wanted to share with all of you what I did and what I went through to get her completed. Lets look at the kit. Here is what I started with. The decal sheet. It is a big one! Why do model companies run the attachment point right into the part?!?! This took a little bit of clean up! These are the rear fender flares. Test fitting of the rear spoiler showed that there was a sizable gap. I added and shaped a shim to close the gap. I attached the rear fender flares and rear spoiler. I cleaned up the parts. I had to add some filler to dimples on the rear spoiler.
  4. I actually have two of these cars. I started this one a couple of years ago. I was having issues with my eyes (cataracts at a young age) and so it got set aside for a while. I was building this one so that when I built the Valentino Rossi one of Rally Car. Now I forget most of ins and outs, so the Rossi version will be all new. LOL. Please pardon my iPhone picture skills, which aren't great, but I need better lighting in my modeling area, in the basement. Front of car view Rear of the car. Something funky happened with the rear light glass. I do not think I used super glue, because I typically use clear paint but I am thinking I did. No saving these. Side view. I painted the figure and decided to stick with one. The kit comes with two figures, but the arms and faces are identical, so I am not going to have that. Overall this was a great kit and came together nice.
  5. I'm going to be doing this little build for my first Model Contest I'm entering Project C-FFWRC=The paint choice will be Testors Custom Blue Metal Flake. I will be using wheels from a 1:32 Jada Bigtime Muscle Wide Body Camaro<-----(Shown In Last Pic). I have until April 14th To complete the build which is plenty of time however I would have liked to be able to complete one of the other Model In Progress I have. I will Update every couple of days with progress of the build, thanks
  6. Here is on of my latest builds, Its the Tamiya Subaru WRC 2002. I built it and the diorama base for it. The kit came with two figures for the inside, but they are hard to see with the weathering I applied to the kit. Thanks for looking!
  7. Subaru Impreza '05, Rally Mexico - Driver: Peter Solberg
  8. Hello, this is my Subaru Impreza 2001 of the pilot Richard Burns, I had problems with the decals, so I had to repaint some of them. At the end it was good.
  9. Hi, another kit finished.. Citroen DS3 WRC '13.. Heller kit.. a like the final result..
  10. Tamiya Peugeot 206 WRC, the third kit of year. a little problems, but the end result was very good. thanks!!
  11. Second kit of 2015, some problems with the decals, but it's happen..
  12. First kit of 2015. Nice kit.
  13. Hi everyone! Just signed up to the site, figured it'd be handy to. I'm Tomo, I have a passion for cars and modelling. I'm not long turned 15, I'm from Armagh in Northern Ireland and I've been modelling for around a year, give or take a few months. I've learned a lot, but there's still so much for me to learn, so I'm hoping this site will help me get better with the help of you guys! I love muscle cars, Japanese cars, European cars, well, all cars really. I build whatever I see and takes my fancy. I These are a few of my models, I'll post some now so you guys have an idea of what to expect.. it's really not much. I'll be asking for your opinions and help a lot so I can learn! Anyway. On to the models. I'll give a brief sentence about each one. "Immy 2 & 3" - 1998/9 Subaru Impreza WRC/ This is the last model I finished in 2012 (the '99) beside her sister, which I finished earlier in the year. First time attempting snow weathering. 1988 Sauber Mercedes C9 - This was my first attempt at making seatbelts, doing wiring on an engine and bare metal foil. I didn't like the AEG livery this kit came with, I fancied the silver one but couldn't get my hands on one, so I did my own thing. Toyota GT86 - I had decided that, since I'll never own one of these, and I'm quite fond of them, I'll do a model. I wasn't going to due to the price of the thing, but I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. This is Tamiya's. Fiat 500 "Ferrari Fan" - Decided to weather this slightly. The kit annoyed me, but it's not a bad kit. '70 Plymouth Superbird - This was my first muscle car kit. I've always loved Superbirds, and I was really proud of this one. These are just a few of my models, I look forward to being on here and seeing what you guys have to say and seeing all your lovely works! Cheers! - Tomo
