  1. Should be out within the next two months or so. Excellent choice for the box art.
  2. "Post traditional" seems as good a term as any for what what was happening past the usual cutoff date for the traditional hot rod style (1963-ish?). It doesn't really tick off the usual traditional boxes, but at the same time, it isn't one we've seen a lot of , those interest seems to be growing. The starting point is a Lindberg '34 Ford pickup, and most of the inspiration is coming from these two rods: So the plan is five spoke mags and blue stripe tires if I can find something suitable, with a cedar (stained basswood actually) bed cover for the Northwest look. Here's a mockup of what I have so far. I was originally going to just use the wheels from Revell's '32 Ford 5 Window Coupe, but I ended up using the frame, running gear and fenders as well. The top has a mild chop, just enough to remove the "Phone booth" look, and the bed has been shortened, though I may shorten it a little more.
  3. While I am not sure I can get this one done by year's end, it will be either the last completion of 2017 or first of 2018. I found myself surprised to see how far along I was with this one. Candidly, I am not even sure why I abandoned the build this far along. It looks like it need paint for the body and interior, a light detailing and assembly. I've never built this kit before (even though I have three of them stockpiled) so we'll see if it goes together as well as it looks. Conversely, I have seen one done and they look like a million bucks assembled, and looks much better proportioned than the AMT version. With that intro, I offer am hereby offering abandoned kit amnesty to this Monogram 1934 Ford V-8.
  4. I really enjoyed building this one. Replica stock, I did juice up the flathead with dual carbs and aluminum heads, all stealthily hidden under the hood. No major fit problems. Comments welcome, thanks for looking!
  5. Quick build, no paint used to create the rust effects.
  6. Started this project last summer with a simple angle chop to a 34 ford coupe body. Reformed the front fenders from the wrap around wheel to the sweep of the 32 fenders I like better. Decided it needed a bit more attitude and angle-sectioned the body for a lowered stance. So far I'm liking the direction its going. This is a snaptite kit, but only using the body, will fabricate a chassis and install a motor with opening doors and trunk. Started with this After
  7. This was a fun quickie build in between more complex builds I did last Fall. (This is a curbside Revell Snaptite) Added the fat-tires, PE side vents, and custom dual exhaust.
  8. My version of zz tops 34 I used the revell 34 ford snap kit
  9. I painted this with Alclad Candy Golden Yellow and testers gloss black and tan makes a chepo kit look sweet Id say thanks for lookin
