I am calling this one done!
I spent the last week pulling all nighters to get it done in time for a model contest in Denver. The results paid off!
Information on the model:
Manufacturer: Revell
Name: 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS "Bubbles"
Mods/Features: The blue stripes in the hood and trunk have water bubbles airbrushed into them. Scratch built suspension bits (Pics in the workbench area), The front seats are scratch built and the back rests are fish tanks (more pics in the workbench area), kit bashed a corvette engine with the kit transmission.
I got the kit done just in time, and with little to no sleep the entire week, and it's first voyage into the contest realm was a success. The contest event coordinator had people watching tables and keeping tallies on how many pictures were taken of the models, and which ones the people were taking pictures of (i don't know WHY they did this but hey.. it's cool to know) and mine was the most photographed model in the contest out of a couple hundred (small venue). I also took best in show and got $100, in which i turned around and.. well.. i bought more models from a vendor.
Here's some photos!
