I've made a few posts so I figured I'd better pony up some progress of some sort. I decided to do this AMT to get back into modeling. I plan on leaving it box stock. I've taken a lot of time to remove a lot of the flash on the majority of the parts which is an improvement of something I would have produced 10+ years ago. Using a razor blade like a scraper for smoothing wood works wonderfully and make quick work of it. If you're not familiar, you drag the blade over what you want to shave down. So, if the blade is angled like this // you would be moving it to the right. It's very easy and wont gouge, but you can take too much material off so you still have to pay attention! (rambling)
Okay. I primed everything with a really old can of plasti-kote sandable primer. I used 1 coat on the body and went straight to 1500 grit wet-sanding. I went all out after that and I shot it with Rustoleum painter's touch Marigold . It will be wet-sanded and get another coat of color and then clear. The chassis and other black bits were hit with Rainbow Industries black lacquer. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.
