    OK, so the Duke boys find an old dirt track car and make the "General". What if . . . They started in 1966, '67, '68? WIT (What If They) went drag racing in the stock classes? WIT made a funny car? Maybe that MPC kit ain't too far off. Maybe they moved up to a Charger 500. and then a Daytona? Spose they tried a Road Runner ? a Superbird? WIT went to Bonniville ? movin' on up , a '70 Charger? a '71, '72, '73 ? Now WIT got into NASCAR now and were running a bunch of cars in a team? Just look at all the generals they could pick from: Stonewall Jaskson,J.E.B. Stuart, James Longstreet, Geo. Picket? General Grant? Oooops! that would have to be a Ford, or a Chevy. Custer, Sherman ? I think that MPC 1/16th General Lee with all the NASCAR acrudaments fits right in.
