One day it rains so hard that you can't work in the junkyard. The next day it's so foggy that you can't find the junkyard. At least when it clears up, everything will be nice and clean to work on.

I´m planning to build a (miniature) junkyard with restoration shop for racecars, like stockcars, modifieds, jalopies, only. Ok, some trailers and haulers will be there as well... I call it a wip, i think this project would be a "live long wip", because the team of MIKE`S RACECAR SALVAGE AND RESTAURATIONS will pull more and more interesting old racers out of some backyards. The idea came when i built this stocker of ol´Wendell Scott. For some reason i ruined the clear coat so i decided to make a junker from it: The first idea of a shop on paper: First attempt with some styrene foam to replicate a brickwall: Looking good, so let´s build the whole shop that way: A view to the inside: Checking the proportions with a model: Thanks for looking!

Here is my last build, a 1950 Oldsmobile. This one is not for me, but for a guy in California who wanted a car, like if it spent a lot of years near woods in Oregon. So a rusty and very weathered car. The kit is from a 1/25 Revell box, but the body is a resin. Pictures ! A lot of parts are missing on that car, chromes, hubcaps, the interior is almost dismantled, there are some parts from other cars.

Hey there! This is my first ever post! I don't like the normal everyday model car, usually (except for my Datsun 240 kit ). Thusly, I make rusty cars, as opposed to shiny ones. And here's one, a 1970s K4 Blazer. I made the Bondo out of patching plaster with red paint added until it looked almost right (I know it is not perfect :/) and I painted it with model railroad paints. The junk is quite assorted, from a TV, to paint cans, eight batteries, and some other stuff I forgot about? Opinions? Suggestions? Your rusty builds?

Hallo everybody, today i want to show you a two-week-built from February this year. In times, when i built too much details, i need a simple kit to relax. Based on the amt kit (#6062) with the camper inside, i tested on this car, how to weather decals and to brush street dust on it. Take a look: ...
