This 61 Ranchero is my latest build - a quickie. Found the kit on eBay for $5.00 on a Friday, and Monday morning it's in my hands! It's built pretty much OOB, but I cut down a parts box roll pan for the front and added an original 61 Falcon custom grille from my ancient parts. It's a bit of a sloppy fit, as it was in 1961. Rear pan is a puttied up bumper. I put 59 Caddy-type bullet taillights on the rear, and lowered the truck about 3 scale inches. Paint is Krylon Pumpkin Orange, and white with Glosskote clear. I love the simplicity of these old tool AMT kits. It's nice to build one with a one piece interior, molded chassis, and metal axles once in a while! Like being 12 years old again! Comments welcome.
