Well I knew I was going to go to the local Hobby Town USA over the weekend, but I wasn't sure who was going to come with. Originally I asked my 18 year old step son but when it comes to 18 year olds, girls first bonding with parents last. So then I was also asking my wifes brother in-law who has been named my "BFF". Well my BFF was out fishing so I asked my amazing wife. Now could I have gone by myself? Of course I could. But its more fun to do things that include others and I especially love shoulder time with my wife. Well as we are walking through the hobby shop, my wife is perusing the isles and checking out some of the models. I was slightly shocked by this. I say only slightly because only about a week before while I (and eventually we) were watching Dr. Cranky's youtube videos on our TV she thought his dioramas were very cool. She also made a point that I showed people the "Breakfast of Champions part Eight" video so they could see how real and how awesome Cranky is at doing rusted out cars. Anyway back on the track here. When I noticed my wife not only looking but handeling the boxed models, I asked her somewhat jokingly, "would you like one?" lol Turns out she was really liking some of the muscle cars and commenting on how she wouldn't paint them the color that the picture was showing. I think after I do my huge 32' Ford project I may be having her pick out my next models and even help me with paint and stuff. I just thought it was kind of cool that the wife was actually kind of interested in this stuff. Most of my hobbies she has zero interest in al though she wants to "take" my photographing hobby for herself...lol
