These two Willy’s started out as late 80’s ertl amt reissues that I turned into to glue bombs . I originally built one as Stone Woods and Cooke and one as mazmanian . Twenty eight years later I took them apart and started over. After reading a really good article in the rodders journal about the s&s team . I used the small block Chevy engines , and back wheels from the double dragster kit the hood scoops came from the amt 37 Chevy kit . I chose tamyia bright red for the color and slixx provided the decals. Body work comprised of cutting the hood away from fenders . Then attaching than to lower fender extensions of the body. This is relatively easy thing to do and it makes it a much better looking model . In most ways the revell willys is a better kit, but I already had these amt kits that needed to be saved . they are really great kits with all of the right speed parts. Thanks for looking ? , Mike
