  1. I started out with one of Flintstone's bodies on this one. Cut the hood and the track nose off of it. Track nose will be going back on.... however I'm sitting at a cross road and am stumped!!!! Any ideas or criticism would be of help right now.... to get the front suspension under the frame is going to require bringing it up. My thought was cutting the rails back at the firewall and pinching them in a bit and cutting/narrowing the rails all the way to the nose and pulling everything inside the hood sides. That and raising the front cross member up to mount under it and chopping off the front frame horns to allow the track nose to mount back up front. In a sense only having the front axle coming out from under the body up front..... so with that what do ya think??????? This sound like a good idea or is there a better way?? Keep in mind I want to keep the 32 tube axle up front, no independent type. Keeping it kind of old skool!!! You can see the blue lines by the motor mounts showing where the hood sides are sitting currently.. I will will also be re doing the motor mounts and taking these out..... with the hood sides sides back on.....
  2. well, it's been over a year, since I last built a kit. I had to move home and then get one of the rooms fixed up as a hobby room, so it's been a while. anyway, here's the Tamiya Citroën 2CV. Weathering was done using the salt technique and some pastels. suspension was lowered very easily, thanks to the way the kit is engineered. I added wires and gubbins under the hood, a battery clamp and a relay box. I also added valve stems to the wheels, but you can hardly see them! Interior junk was also added, along with some tape repairs to the roof and drivers seat. here are the pics. I hope you like it All comments welcome, thanks for looking
  3. hey all , starting on this revell ford bronco .. Now i got this kit in a shoebox with the build description , it supposed to be a kit of the bronco with a trailer and powerboat , i only have the bronco and not the trailer and boat .. the plastic has become yellow , like from age ?? i dont know the kit is from 1991 going from the all yellowed build description. The kit is fairly simple to put together but not real bad in detail what i got in a shoebox (got this from a guy who stopped with building due to health issues ) the grille is cool its already open .. the headlights suck they are one piece and no glass in the kit for those .. so maybe open them up and make reflectors and cust glass to put in would be cool the body , i hate the shape of the wheel wells , now i cant really find good pictures of this kit or the boxart , i did find one other kit and those flares supposed to resemble / be rubber ? anyway my plan is to cut open the wheel wells and get some cool wheels on it and make it a bit rough looking .. i ven think changing the body like where the hardtop on the bed sits and make that whole with the body so its one piece could be cool ..not sure yet the roof window will be closed up i dont like that really .. overal it needs to becomea bit smoother overall , bit custom the tails are also a cast so i will make some taillight myself ..
  4. Hey everybody. This is my first true project since I've gotten back into building afer about 5 or 6 years from taking a break. I am building a Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup truck that will be fully custom inside and out. I don't have any progress on it yet. I just got it earlier today and just opened it up. I am about to cut the doors open and get started on some of the easier things I can do first. Here are some of my plans for it. I know it is allot, but I want a big challenge. Without the challenge, I would get bored and quit. Fully custom frame with bags and 4 link. Convertible Hard-Top roof. Fully custom interior. Raised bed floor (Not sure about stock or smooth styrene.) Body dropped. Flat black with red accents here and there. Stock rims (unless I find something better). Openable "zig-zag" style doors. Openable reversed hood with 2" cowl. Not sure on engine yet (don't want to use the supplied I6). Shaved tail lights. Tubbed front inner fenders. Possible custom grille. License plate relocated to back window in custom frame. Possible sound system (most likely). Highly detailed all over. Feel free to give suggestions/tips and post pics of what you have done.
