I want to covert the 78 GMC truck to a 2WD and lower it. Any suggestions on what kits provide the best chassis and/or suspension to do this?

Started working on an AMT 53 Ford Pickup about a week ago, have seen a lot of nice builds and always wanted to get one going. Doing all the basics right now, soaked the body and main parts in some dawn and water, scrubbed the stuff down, scribed out the doors, vent and windshield. Removed the door handles, locks and filling in the gas filling area. Also smoothed out the running boards, have them glazed with some Evercoat at the moment. Looking at the chassis and stance at the moment, started assembling the engine. My goal is build a nice 60's style cruiser out of this. I've also been posting a bit more on my Instagram, if anyone is there feel free to drop in at qstick99 -
I'm, relatively, new to die casts... I, only just about a year ago, discovered Nascar trucks and trailers in 1/24 scale.... I had no idea this market existed... Anyway, I converted a Nascar hauler into this 3 car hauler... It just made perfect sense to me... This is just one of about 6 I've converted, this way... I display many of my die cast cars on the backs of these things... Saves space... ?

Hey y'all started up about a year and a half ago. I build everything from movie cars to early 20th century. Working on details and the perfect paint job—an endless struggle I can't seem to get the hang of. I enjoy making movie cars as they give an extra dimension to a build for me. In the near future I'll be looking towards resin and bash builds. Just thought I'd introduce myself.

Hi Guys, greetings from beautiful Bavaria / Germany. I'm 45 years old and build models of all kinds for more than 30 years now. For about 2 years, I only build else US Trucks and vintage cars. My current project is the Mack CruisLiner from AMT in scale 1:25. In addition to my hobby, I like to travel and here are the USA and Canada my favorites. What fascinates me about the USA is the lifestyle, the nature and the versatility,as you can not find them in Germany. During my military service in the German Air Force I was fortunate enough to have been stationed in the US for a while, more precisely on the Holloman Air Force Base. Today I'm a German veteran (participant in operation IFOR, SFOR, KFOR, Allied Forces and ISAF) suffering from PTSD and use my hobby as compensation to my illness. I'm looking forward to many tips and nice talks.

Was able to make it up to the Powerland Museum in Brooks, Oregon for one of the weekends of the Steam-Up. I'm doing research to build a lifted 4X4 Blazer. I want to take a shot at making my own coil over shocks. So far Ive found it easy to find shock length. But what I can't find is coil size, turns per inch/ft., pretty much any other sizes Anybody have any specs or maybe some place I could look?

Hey all, It been a long time since I have done any modeling. I was heavily into building in the 80's - 90's even won awards at a couple of local contests. Life got rough so I sold everything I had almost 200 kits + kitbashing parts bins and All my tools , airbrushes air booth compressor. Boy do I regret that move ! I built mainly 1/25 most were domestic muscle, pick ups, hot rods, a few f1 cars, indy cars. a few large scale revell kits, I gave a few built kits away as gifts to friends but I kept a few too. 4 Monogram 1/12 69 Camaro's. an old MPC chevette, a new reissue Revell 41 willys. just as my personal favorites. I decided to jump back in and build 2 of the 69 1/12. ( I have 4) Wow ! How things have changed. Road

Howdy all,,takin' a break from cars on this one. Got this @ a swap meet,,its a 1990 AMT "Sportside" Chevy PU. I was going to just do total bx stock,,no wires,,plumbing ect,,but as it came along that changed,lol. I used flat white primer,,w/testors Lime gold over it,,1 coat,,thats it. The high rise mtr setup is kit supplied! Nice to you,,AMT! Rims are the kit supplied also,,but not the tires. I like a bit more aggressive tires on this one. It should make a nice tow trk for the traliers w/cars on them. Thanks for looking,,Cheers!

A lot of you probably use or have used them hair brushes with the plastic bristles. Next time you do, take a look at them. They are basically a bunch of shifter handles with ball knobs on 'em. I've used them once or twice in die cast. Let's see how it works for plastic.
