andy12646 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Does anyone know the proper color for the engine block of the Reher-Morrison/Lee Shepherd 83 Pro-Stock Camaro?
Mooneyzs Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 It looks as if it was maybe just cast iron steel or possibly black. Here is a link I found: http://www.hotrod.com/features/history/stories/1342-reher-morrison-era-pro-stock/
Quick GMC Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 looks like a cast iron block, no paint. I have a can of Dupli-Color cast iron spray paint, looks dead on.
Drake69 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 looks like a cast iron block, no paint. I have a can of Dupli-Color cast iron spray paint, looks dead on. I never knew that existed. I must acquire that. Thanks for the heads up!
Quick GMC Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 be very conservative on how much you spray. it's a thick enamel paint and can build up and ruin detail quickly. I just blip the nozzle a few times. When it dries, it's 2-3 colors and looks great. When you add weathering on top of that it's awesome.
Quick GMC Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Here is my 1/12 57 Chevy transmission done with the Dupli-Color cast iron http://imgur.com/btabQ
