Went to Buffalo, N.Y. today for their annual Spring show and did quite well......I took 7 models and came home with 6 trophies! I also killed it in the raffle prizes! Won a whole bunch of cool stuff. 6 model kits, detail stuff, paints etc... had an awesome time. Met up with some old friends too! :D Here is a few photos of the show and of course some of my stuff.

There were a lot of Military models there as usual.... But I also had another first for me. I don't do a lot of Armor for that category... but I brought a M109a6 Paladin as well as my M270 MLRS Rocket Launcher and placed well with both!.... Now I can honestly say I've mastered all of the main categories.... Competition open and closed wheel, Drag cars, Heavy Trucks, Aircraft, and now Armor!.....

Congrats on your win specially from Buffcon. usually majority of trophies at that show are reserved for the club members who put the show on.

Almost forgot the most important photo... My hardware!

I'm glad you enjoyed the show, and congratulations on your trophies. I'm a bit surprised by the comments about judging and club members winning awards, though. I've been a judging coordinator at Buffcon for several years now (not in Automotive, because that's what I mostly build, and we don't allow judges to judge categories where they have entries), and I have to make a few comments. First, it's usually the case that more than half the judges are not club members - we always ask for help with judging, and rely on the assistance of our friends from other clubs. Second, the judging is done without knowledge of who built the model - we don't look at the names on the entry sheets until after the winners have been chosen.

If anyone feels that our judging is biased, you're welcome to help judge at the next show. There's always a judges meeting before the judging starts, where the ground rules are explained, questions are answered, and the teams are put together.
