ismaelg Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Hello, I know this is way OFF topic but last night's total lunar eclipse was awesome! Anyone who has ever tried to take a picture of the moon knows how tricky that is. It has been almost an obsession for me ever since I first tried about 20 years ago. Last night's eclipse was a great opportunity to practice. Here is a link to the fotki album I did. fotki album to lunar eclipse pictures Thanks,
Harry P. Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 ok, everybody, sing along... All that you touch, and all that you see... All that you taste, and all that you feel. All that you love, all that you hate, All you distrust, all you save. All that you give and all that you deal... All that you buy, beg, borrow or steal, And all you create, and all you destroy... All that you do, and all that you say. And all that you eat, and everyone you meet... And all that you slight, and everyone you fight. All that is now...and all that is gone, And all that's to come... and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon.
crispy Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Thanks for sharing Ismael! I didn't want to stand outside my house to take pictures, it was -10 F!! So it's nice to see them, but I believe I'll be around in 2010 to see the next one. Chris
Nick F40 Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Ya, I saw it, but it was frickin cold! I also was told I could see Jupiter.
evilone Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 it was raining here in cali i couldnt see jack shi*
Dag Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Thanks for posting. It was fairly overcast here in Denver last night but I was able to see it pretty well from my favorite TV chair. Great pic BTW
Blue coyote Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Great pics! I enjoyed standing at my back door watching the eclipse and keeping an eye on my huskies (I have three) at the same time. Even with the occasional cloud obscuring it, it was STILL pretty impressive to see.
m408 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Many thanks for the pics. I was looking forward to it, but mother nature threw a cloud layer in the way.
ScaleModelFan Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) Hi ya Ismael ... Great pictures of a really cool (no pun intended, it was about 10* here) lunar event. I didn't get to take any pictures or even see the full eclipse ... I had to work ... (frown)! Your pictures are much better than the ones (done by the local media) I got to see here in the Chicago, IL area. Here's to health, wealth and clear weather (and not having to work) for the next full eclipse in December 2010! Thanks again, Edited February 27, 2008 by ScaleModelFan
