k357 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 This is a replica of the truck that I drove when I was with the Carnival back in the 80's... It's built from an AMT K123 that I got in a trade... The Yellow box behind the cab represents a deisel power plant... Paint is Plastikote GM Dark Blue, the stripes are pinstriping tape.... Thanks for lookin!!!!
mrglubaum Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Nice builds! I don't think I've ever seen anyone build carnie trucks before! Are you going to build the whole show? That would be quite the diorama!
k357 Posted July 26, 2006 Author Posted July 26, 2006 Thanks Lee!!!! I built a whole fleet representing the trucks that we had... I built a funhouse tralier for this one, but tht's probably gonna be the only one, they take up ALOT of room.... This one won a Model of the Month contest at another site,I didn't put up a pic of the rig with the trophy, so as not to be in bad taste....
jlee1615 Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 My folks owned a 7-8 games and a corn dog trailer up until I was about twelve, then we ran away and joined a town...I have the 1/16th scale 1975 GMC from highway 61 and have been thinking about scratch building a box and possum belly for it, I also think a scratch built set of diggers to pull behind it would look pretty sweet. Neat to see a show truck
