Decal Disaster

What little ambition I had just got popped when a decal didn't come out the way I had hoped, and upon my attempt to remove the decal about one hour later made a real mess!

Solvaset didn't work too well on running board decal that I had made from a JNJ Decal black film, this is how it ended up after trying to remove the decal with more Solvaset, then a pull with masking tape, and eventually with a wire brush and working at it with a tooth pick.

Fortunately, the damage didn't go beyond the running board, and though it looks bad, it should mask and paint OK (knocking on wood)

Ouch. Sorry to hear about your setback, but it looks like it's salvagable. Nice colour on the fenders, by the way!
