Ned Jarrett's '62 Bel Air

While Ned was associated with Ford for most of his career, he won the first of his two championships in a Chevrolet that looked kinda like this one, only larger. Here's my tribute build to the first Nascar driver I ever saw close up. Ned came to town in the mid-sixties to give a talk to the Royal Ambassadors at the First Baptist Church in Lancaster SC. He did a lot of that for the young people all during his career and made a lasting impression for good on a lot of kids through the years. Ned's been a true class act for a very long time.

Sometimes being old has its advantages. While not new at the time, they were decidedly closer to being new when I built them than I am now. Funny how time slips away. LOL
