Sean W Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Take one tail lighy, one pen and a little determination and this is the results. Kit light on the left, mine on the right. Just need to add a bit of Future polish. I'm still in this. Got just a bit left. Later- Hi Tom, great save on the taillight. It takes a model builder to look around at everything and wonder if it can be put on your model car, lol. Good looking little shelf model too, I wouldn't mind building one of these. Sean
Modlbldr Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Thanks Sean. I've seen many others make tail lights out of things. That's the reason I've kept just about any piece of red plastic for quite a while and this is the first time I've made one. The curve of the pen was perfect for the light. It only took me about 5 minutes to make it then a half hour to wait for the Future to dry enough to install. Later-
Lunajammer Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 This was fun to watch. Congrats to the finishers. And to the unfinishers, don't leave us hangin'

TimJ Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 The Road Runner is finished. I did have a bit of an Aaargh! moment when one of the tail lights fell out and was rattling around in the body. Luckily it came out and I was able to refit it after removing the rear bumper. I'm pleased with how it turned out and it will look good on the shelf.
