I have been working on the CLK Sportswear CLK GTR. The chassis is done and the body is almost ready for decals. I hate silver paint had to repaint the rear deck a few(allot) of times. Body is painted TS-17 Gloss Aluminum with TS-13 Clear.

Just awesome. How the heck do you do such fine detaling?

Looks excellent!

I have one of the clear body versions of this kit, but haven't started it yet (I would be happy to trade it for an opaque-body version).

What problems did you have in applying the Tamiya paint? Did you prime 1st?

I hate painting gloss-type silver too! I have a couple of Porsche 904s which have frustrated me to the point of setting them aside for quite a while. Flat silvers seem to go on beautifully though.

Hi,

Why don't you buy the standard CLK GT1, Kit no. 24195(I think!) and use the body shell from that. It is the same one.

Shaun
