mikemodeler Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 No fancy pictures to post but a few hints: 1. It was the only model year that the C2/Split Window Corvette appeared. 2. I was born 38 days after JFK went for that fateful ride thru Dallas. 3. The Chicago Bears were the NFL Champions. 4. The Beatles hadn't made it to the US. Mike Scheve
MrObsessive Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Well along the same lines as what cars were around when we were just gettin' here..........I came across this pic on the 'net! LOTS of neat 'ol cars here..........looks to have been takin' somewhere around late 1961 early '62. I have no idea where this pic might have been taken...........anyone have any idea? I know of no place here in PA that used what looks like a river bed for a road! Makes you wonder if some of those cars still exist today?

I'll be moving from where I am into a new place sometime in the near future..........after being put through the ringer by simple landlords and property managers..........I'm now fed up and planning to BUY my own home now. In fact I'm going to take a look at my first property Tuesday, and if all goes well and I like it, I can move in this time next month. Unfortunately, it won't leave me much money to do anything else for awhile. Hopefully I can make it next year as I'm dying to get back down there again! Nos vemos!
