MOPARmaniac Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 In order for the trunk to look good and real the opening in the back of the interior has to be filled in. Unfortunately i do not have any styrene or sheet plastic so im going to fill it in with cardboard. It will look wierd but it'll work. I did it on my mustang to fill the gas tank cavity
MOPARmaniac Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 Ok I filled the hole up in the back of the interior and gas tank cavity while i was at it
MOPARmaniac Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 some pics of my work on the car with interior and chassis installed
MOPARmaniac Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 thanks for all your complements guys. It makes me HAPPY!!!!
MOPARmaniac Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 My dad had two other chargers for parts cars. Both rear fenders were replaced so they are black instead of gray. Anyways I painted the fenders
MOPARmaniac Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Ok ive done a little bit more work on the car, I painted the back and top of the front fascia, the hood hinge mechanism, and the hood scoop black. Also put windows in and painted headliner black.
MOPARmaniac Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 Also change in plans about the engine, my art kit has come in and has a spare 440 that Im going to put in the charger
MOPARmaniac Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 The 440 also has a automatic transmission which is suitable for this car
MOPARmaniac Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 My dads engine is orange so I painted the engine block, oil pan, water pump, and valve covers orange that I mixed myself. Its the wrong orange but Im not good enough at mixing paint to get hemi orange, besides it will have a worn effect on it anyway
MOPARmaniac Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 ok today ive painted some grease on the engine and am now going to convert a stock 440 magnum air cleaner to a chrome edlebrock
MOPARmaniac Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 I found a four barrel carb from a 340 4 barrel engine kit
