I know you can buy this kind of stuff in little 3 foot packages at hobby stores but I have a real problem paying $4.00 for $.02 worth of tubing.

I also hate paying $4.00 for 3 feet of spark plug wiring but I can't find anything locally thats a proper size or color in bulk.

Heres a pic of some that I found but for the life of me I don't remember where it came from, I know I didn't buy it. So I must have found it in a kit or a kids toy or something.

It's a nice size and has a relatively flat finish and it's exceptionally soft and flexible. Anyone seen anything like this anywhere?

I'd prefer to buy it in a regular roll but I have no idea where to look.

for stuff like that i go to radio shack and buy a spool of small dia. wire, then cut off what i need and pull the wires out of the casing. just be sure to buy stranded wire as its easier to pull out than the solid.

hope this helps ya'

Most craft shops stock a flexable rubber used for stringing beads. Comes in several sizes and a few colors. Larger size make for great heater hoses. I just got some for plug wire size at $0.60 per yard.

For clear fuel lines use Fishing line. Craft stores sell chord for beading that loks like braided line. For spark plug wires get Radio Shack 30ga wire wrap wire.

I've used most of that stuff and I picked up some of the black beading line in two sizes yesterday.

I just really liked the stuff I used on the build with that Hemi due to it's appearance, It looks "right" to me.

I suppose I could try weathering some of the other stuff, I don't care for the shiny appearance of most of the stuff I've found.

Some great alternate ideas guys.

Lacquer thinner on a rag dulls rubber, and makes it softer..although the softness goes away shortly after, it does remove the shine from hoses and tires.
