kpnuts Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Hi all just to let you know I've not given up on this it is just almost impossible to get the paint off, this is after 3 days of mister muscle not sure what to do now spray over this or try a new can of mr muscle.
freakshow12 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 The engine on these typically is removed from the bottom. You drop the whole front end and take the engine/ trans. Ask me how I know???
kpnuts Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 hi all this is fighting me all the way, I bought some barrier coat and sprayed it with that then gave it a coat of gloss white and its reacted with the barrier coat, you cant really see from the pics but there are little wrinkles in the paint so Im hoping sanding back where the wrinkles are down to bare plastic and re spraying will solve it.
kpnuts Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Hi all lots done on this, although it dosn't look like it (mostly taking apart what I did before and repainting in new colours, think I've sorted the body paintwork out.
kpnuts Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Hi all well since the citroen is now probably bin fodder I thought I better get on with this (plus christmas is round the corner) (actually I think I ought to give up modelling, I'm obviously BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH at it)I know the canvas bit looks as though it dosn't fit but when taped in it all fitsmakes no difference anyway I'm getting fed up of always ruining models.
Greg K Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 don't give up on it Kenneth. you got a lot of time invested in that car. maybe wait till after Christmas to finish it up. i really like what you've done to it so far.
kpnuts Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Can't wait till after Christmas as it's supposed to be a present (pretty poor present)
kpnuts Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 Hi all well I wont be giving this to my daughter. I will be glueing it together to finish it but after the third stripping and respray (must be something in the grey primer (its the only thing I cant get off (Ive used oven cleaner, break fluid, nitromors))) The missus says dont be such a perfectionist she wont notice, you all know what I say to that.
