Hey Guys, here is another Mod I did a while back. Its a Phantom example of a Hurst prepared factory race 1970 Dodge Challenger. I built it to follow the Factory Hurst prepared Hemi race Dart's and Barracuda's.

My phantom Challenger in 1/18, was disassembled, and stripped of existing paint. The mirrors, antenna, and marker lites were removed, the battery was moved to the trunk, and a tach was added to the dash.

Since this was an experimental car, the existing 340 was used, but it has a Paxton supercharger, which was taken from a Lane 66 Mustang fastback. I added a cylindrical air box, with an air duct made from a bendable straw. I also added the supercharger cooling oil lines, to a finned oil cooling unit, made from an extra radiator, and mounted in front of the existing radiator.

Open steel wheels were taken from another Challenger, painted black, and slicks were added to the rear. The car was painted primer gray, and the front clip was painted flat black, then I hit it with a coat of dullcoat.

Cheers,

Lance
