Dr Plastic Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Well I finally Re-finished my latest project. It is the Fujimi kit finished in Tamiya Italian Red. She sports a set of Model factory hiro Boranni wire wheel sets with kit tires. Chrome scripts by Crazy Modeler, cloisonné' Ferrari badges by E-jan and AcuStion photo-etch details. I scratchbuilt most of the underhood structural details to include the electrical center replete with fuse panels, oil tank and fully functioning hood struts. I added all oil, a/c lines, coils and plug wires, Throttle linkages and return spring, brake lines, steering gear box and shaft and a washer bag. She was finished for the Tidewater Automotive Society show last Oct. but I didn't have enough time to do any of the underhood work even though she took Best in Show. I then stripped down the chassis and added all the aforementioned work. She then went on to garner Best Auto and Best in show at the 2008 Old Dominion Open show hosted by IPMS Richmond. I am planning on displaying this and some more of my work at the upcoming NNL East show next month in Wayne, N.J. Click here for more pics of this and other modeling projects... Enjoy!

crispy Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Scott, that is absolutely phenomenal! My all time favorite Ferrari. I'm not a fan of red Ferrari's except for the 365! Those Borrani wheels look amazing. The paint is flawless and the interior is dead on. I'll send you a couple of kits for trade, whaddya say???? LOL Lastly, IMPRESSIVE! Congrats on the most deserved awards. I have a bunch of 365 kits, but want to hone my skills much more before I delve into them. This is a great inspirational build to look at and learn from. Thank you for sharing! Chris
Dave McFly Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 um, maybe i should get my eyes checked but i see no pictures ill click on the link after i post this.
ismaelg Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 To say it's beautiful is an understatement like saying the sea is wet. Gorgeous! At first I thought this was Ray Franco's 365. He did the same car in the same colors with the same wheels. And he also won best of show like this one.... Thanks,
Raul_Perez Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Very nice!! That is one of my all time favorite Ferraris!! Thanks for sharing!
