hedotwo Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Was there ever a conversion available to create a 67' Nova from a 66'? Would really amount to a grille and possibly a front clip to be able to get the angled fender for the headlight bucket.
Mike Chernecki Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) None that I know of. Edited October 17, 2015 by Mike Chernecki
Snake45 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I've never seen one either, and I've looked. Most guys just give up and build it OOB and call it a '67 if they want. The headlight bucket thing is the biggest change, and even that isn't all THAT noticeable unless you're a real Nova nut (which I kind of am).
Mike Chernecki Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) As a Nova nut amd owner of a few of them. The most notable differences in the '67 are grille, headlight buckets, front fenders and trim changes. I wish amt would do the extra parts to do a 67. Also, hope Revell will eventually do a 68 and 70-72. Edited October 17, 2015 by Mike Chernecki
socal76 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 The Putty Thrower had a PE set that did either a 66 or 67 Nova SS. Had the grille and some trim emblems.
Ron Hamilton Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I have a Putty Thrower set to do a '67. The headlamp surrounds and most of the interior (Super Sport) needs to be worked. One of my sister's Boyfriends parents had a red '67 Nova Sedan, and my best friend from Jr. High had a red '67 Super Sport.I would like to do one or the other of those.
