camaroman Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I spent Saturday morning doing a make and take at my local high school with leftovers from last weeks Nat'l make and Take. This a part of Fun Stuff for the children of attendees of a Key Club craft fair.My wife is an advisor to this club. We had about 10 kids do a car in around an hour and 45 mins. I think they all had fun.. Roger Canup and I did all the Drama stuff after we discovered the following..... There are a few gotcha's to this kit..... 1) Build the entire grill assembly before placing it in the body. 2) Be very careful with the taillights and windshield (why can real glue kits have "glass" this thin?) 3) Trim the shifter pin really short and glue it in place. 4) And last but not least pre- thread the front screws in the body before final assembly..They are really easy to strip the mounting post out..and easy does, it they are still VERY easy to strip out. After the kids finished the cars a couple took them to the face painting booth for Paint. The lady did some neat "flame stripes"....... I'll post pictures next week if we can retrieve them from Roger's phone......
