I sure could use some advice! Upon trying to complete my AMT/Ertl 66 Olds I ran into a major (I hope not) jam. Following the instructions to a T and in sequence I was unable to fit the asembled undercarriage/engine /interior into the body. The engine would not fit up and into the engine compartment. Any ideas here ? Thanks /JR

I'd think that if you assembled the chassis as a complete unit with the engine in place it'd be a lot easier. That engine is a wide unit, and long as well.

Could it be hanging up on the rear crossmember? There's a locater pin at the top of the crossmember that would block the trans if you assembled after the body is mounted.

Detatch the chassis, install the engine, then re-install the body, you'll have no problem...
