RodneyBad Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) Well I haven't done any building in a long while so I thought I'd start off easy. Suzuki Alto Out of the box I already goofed. Got all Primed up and forgot the SideSkirts Trying to decide on a color. Edited April 11, 2008 by Zukiholic
Wildrice Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I would go with some new testors laquer or a HOK paint. Nice start.
Nick F40 Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I really like those wheels. This would look sweet with some riveted flares. Cool project!
RodneyBad Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 I would go with some new testors laquer or a HOK paint. Nice start. HOK Paint?? Thanks for the smartcar, it's bigger than the Alto I really like those wheels. This would look sweet with some riveted flares. Cool project! Flares would look good over those wheels. but they only come as wide and wider and those are the wide ones on one side. I'm going to keep this one simple and brush up on my painting and photography
Nick F40 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?? anything new?
RodneyBad Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 I manage to put the skirts and rear wing on. Primed (Plasta-kote) sandable primer. Seems to work well with out crazing I dug out some paint. Dupli-color Cranberry purple. (auto Spray) And (had to buy all new paint) Needs more chassis paint detailing and then I'll weather it. (covers up alot) I Will do some colorsanding and clear coating. Or clearcoat and then color sand (then again, it wouldn't be called colorsanding, would it?) guess I answered my own question? Right behind you Nick
Nick F40 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 haha cool and thanks, love the color! Now that guy is strong, that is a light car but DANG!
RodneyBad Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 haha cool and thanks, love the color! Now that guy is strong, that is a light car but DANG! Guess I should paint the poor guy one day. Only had him for 10yrs. Don't even know where he came from. BTW: the front airdam is perty strong too. "O" I also black washed the wheels. That helped the factory wheels look better. I have a racing one coming soon.. Just getting my feet wet on this one..
RodneyBad Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 Okay, I'm actually getting something done. interior Shot with a Buff Beige by Scale MotorSport Faux Fabrix. The down side is I'm not quite sure how or what other color to use to Hi-lite the interior. There are no Door panel details so I'm trying to think of what to do. How to two tone the seats. With Black on the thigh and shoulder supports?
RodneyBad Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 Right now I'm using a Dark tan to simulate colored Plastic on the rear seat back. Front seat The paint gives it a rough texture. looks like Fabric or No-Slip tape (Rough in texture like 120grit sand paper) easily to paint over and use for a bed liner of sorts. Or a rough undercoating..
Lownslow Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 (add caption here) im tellling you speed this vehicle will be wicked fast ha-a faster than the mach 5 ha-a yes ha-a, it is powered by a 3 cyclinder engine ha-a does 0-60 in 9 days ha-a
RodneyBad Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 Getting closer to actually finishing something. Still needs some more detailing work. I masked off the inside of the rear side windows for the black. masked off all the outside window trim (what a pain) and roof line. BMF'd the lights to paint. Hopefull I can finish it b-4 I move other wise it might be 2-3 months b-4 I start building again.
Nick F40 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Nice! I like it. The Twin Cam decal makes it sound real macho!
