revell kits??

hi,im planning to buy a 1/25 scale revell kit to customize,i was wondering about the quality of the snap together cheaper one,or should i get the more expensive one?

The Revell snap kit is above average detail and quality for that type of kit. I think it lends itself well to customizing.

On this one, I lowered the suspension and changed out the headlights. I'm currently scratch building a front bumper and visor, then I can go ahead and finish it up!

wow that looks beautiful,ive been looking around,im pretty convinced the snap kit will be perfect for a first truck and easy to customize and the price is right

The Revell snap-kit is above average for the type of kit. With minor modifications it builds quite nicely. go to www.truckmodeler.com and there are several shown on the June and the July-August pages. I built a fairly box-stock unit, white with the kit decal stripes. I'm quite pleased at how it turned out.

i was thinking of adding a little glue when building it would that be a good idea?

Glue? By all means! I glued this kit, prefering not to rely on snap-fitting.

I built the Revell reissued snap tite kit (95%) complete. For a snap kit it's NOT BAD AT ALL!!!!

Also I just started to building the R/G 359. This one I'm building as a day cab. I had to cut out the back of the cab of a AMT 359 to use on the R/G cab.
