6-handicap Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I have the plans for a belly dump gravel trailer. Unfortunately they are 1/24th. The suspension I have is 1/25th. Anyone tinker with this kind of thing? I would like to change all the measurements to 1/25th. Thanks Bryan
Superpeterbilt Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Hi Bryan. Just multiply all of your dimensions by 24 to get the 1:1 dimensions, then divide them by 25 to get the 1/25 dimensions. I would like to see one of these built. Ive never built one myself, but if I had a blueprint I would.
6-handicap Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 Terry; thanks for the reply. I found an online scale convertor and did both calculations. They came out exactly the same. The convertor is on "scalemodellersworld.com" . I found the article here on Model Car Magazine forum. Bryan
mdlbldrmatt135 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 1/24 is .0416667 so 100" = 4.16667"1/25 is .04 so 100" = 4.000" not really noticeable till you get to longer lengths.
