Here's group pics of what's on my table. The Viper is nearly finished with only a few details missing and permanently attaching the rockers/side vents, despite being sat on recently. My gf got me the Ferrari for my birthday in March, and it's coming along nicely. Thought yellow would be an interesting and unique color for it. And then there's a recent addition, the 69 Camaro RS, which is just being mocked up for the most part.

Forgive the dust specks on the Viper. It's been sitting for a few days and it's started a collection.

Cool pair! I love modern rides. The Viper and blue go together and the yellow is a nice color for the F430. Looking forward to see them finished.

Thanks,

Update on the Ferrari F430.

I put it away for several months (actually it was collecting dust on a shelf). So the other day I got it out and did a few things to it. Now it's mocked up at least.

Body isn't glued on, front inner grill isn't in it's final place. No taillights, no side windows or windshield. Interior needs touched up. I still need to paint the front scoops black (maybe, I kinda like the yellow more), along with the window trim. Need to paint the front scoop opening lips black because I dremeled out the cheesy molded in mesh screens, you can see the white plastic lip because I didn't touch it up after cutting through the plastic. But I replaced all the crappy mesh screen decals it calls for with real mesh that I had left over from some Tamiya armor kits. Looks awesome, but now I need to paint in the areas inside the body shell black so you can't see the interior of the model. Really love the real mesh, lovin' the whole outcome in fact.

Help me choose whether to paint the front bumper scoops black or leave them yellow. The real deal is black, but the yellow is making a good case for itself..

Nice to see progress on these!

Leave them yellow. I have a 430 in primer and I will leave them body color. I'll do a little card that will read "Yes, I know the scoops are black but this is MY car done MY way  "

Thanks,

Thanks for the input Ismael. You know, I'm thinking I will just keep them yellow. It's really making the mesh screens pop. I'd imagine if they were black, the detail would be somewhat lost.

Besides, if I bought the real car, I'd get them body colored somehow, for the $$$ I'd be paying, I want it my way. ;)
