mchook Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 This was an old built 53 Ford kit I had that needed something done to it. I changed it to a 55 by sticking in a y-block & changed the grill. I built the Manley style working wrecker boom & body from Plastruct & evergreen styrene. I like doing junkers, I know it's not as cool as the pristine models that are done but they're fun to do.
gino Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 looks awesome ! not as easy to do something that looks worn out . much easier to do something that looks prestine !great work !
Tom Geiger Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) I know it's not as cool as the pristine models that are done but they're fun to do. Actually many of us think junkers are cooler than shiny. Done right it takes a lot of work and an artist's eye. You've done good here! Edited April 24, 2016 by Tom Geiger
wayne swayze Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I think you did a great job on this! I like it! The rust on the lower cab corners and fenders is very realistic.
mikemodeler Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 nice job on that , the weathering looks spot on and the wrecker set up is great!
pharoah Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 That's an unusual subject to build! Nice weathering too!
gatorincebu Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Very well done nicely weathered old truck ! I like it. Be Well Gator
Badluck 13 Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 That is one tired looking ol' truck and a beautiful job on the wrecker bed!
