A 1:8 Gullwing and a 1:8 Ferrari 250 GTO. Just painted the Ferrari . 1:8 has its own set of problems when you paint them. Painting the Ferrari was tough not to run. A lot of little pockets , vents and little spaces,

Hello Trans Am Mike. I used an automotive BMW color systems paint.

Hi Bruce!

Wow, a natural painter, obviously. That blue is spectacular. Bravo!

Thank you Claude. I do paint for a living. I can paint a model. But the rest of a build is kind of hard for me. Your cars are total art. Mine not so much. Maybe one day I can work at CT Designs. I wish I had the imagination you have.

I know it’s not a car but it’s my favorite striped and painted with Testors spray can

This section isn't limited to cars, so your build is certainly welcome here. In fact, there's at least one more talented semi builder who also uses mostly Testors paints and gets great results.  If they turn out like his or yours, I'd say the more the merrier.

As regards paint application, the fact that you pulled that off using rattle cans tells me you've got some wicked talent.  That color combo rocks.  If you don't mind me asking, what exact paints did you use for the pewter and the burgundy?

Root beer metallic lacquer, and Graphite dust metallic lacquer  originally I was going to go with greens but I decided to use what paints I had sitting around at first I wasn’t sure about colors but they did turn out well

Painted a 1967 RA 273 Honda F1 car. Not close to stock. Original color is an ivory white. I painted her pearl white. With the stock decals. I just saw so many ivory white builds I had to change it. Not correct at all but the kit is sooo far off it really doesn’t matter. A friend said give the kit a break , it’s 55 years old. He’s right.

Custom mixed pearl yellow that used Testor's Florescent Yellow, Boyd Aluma Pearl yellow & I think I added a little Turn Signal Amber metallic as well to get the slight color shift with the florescent yellow as a primer over base white. image.thumb.jpeg.776ad73df00748fef19ebf07321f0898.jpeg

This was a 1/32 scale slot car that I painted for a friend, he was a big fan of Bass Pro Shop & Ducks Unlimited, so I used Photoshop & created my own decals  & camo stripes for the BOSS-302 TransAm race car. Paint job isn't anything special, but the decals where fun to do. image.jpeg.286d2291bc2ec73b13f8fbbf85b64558.jpegimage.jpeg.fc568a469e4e299da9fe292c62c5bf32.jpegimage.jpeg.93f2c5b65c06b40c2773a4338d2440de.jpegimage.jpeg.934bc6ac141529241c3f04abe76d6989.jpeg

Nothing fancy seems a bit understated, because to me that paint looks STUNNING!  Very nice work. I've always liked the Cobra in that metallic blue.
