RyanSilva Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Started this sunday, will be done by end of the week, enjoy. It will be used in a future diorama. I still need to touch up the door and add shop lettering, and build the chassis/engine, and some ither details, but the basics of the body are done. It all started with 1 tire, was going through my parts box..found a old steelie from one of the first starliner kits i bought years ago, wheel was painted a horrible black.. So i detailed her with craft paints and some rust powder.. Completely done with craft paint.. im lazy..and junkers can be a little forgiving with paint, so i choose drybrushing and craft paints for this.
RodneyBad Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Nice job. Looks like it has been around a long time Don't worry, little wax and buff will bring it back around..
Modellpularn Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Ohh cool, looks really real! At least the parts where you've done the weathering. It looks like it could use some more rust and dings on the body, looks too nice.... but the hood is great! Keep it coming.....
RyanSilva Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Im far from finished, normally i would start with dings and dents, but i jumped in with weathering a little bit, she will look more ''used'' whenshes complete
RyanSilva Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 Thanks guys for looking ! I finished the inside of the bed, now to start on the outside.
RodneyBad Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 The bed alone looks great.. Very nice or bad. take your pick..
evilone Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 man that thing looks worse then my real one did when i first got it LOL great ageing bro
Fleetside Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 That bed looks awesome...reminds me of my old GMC
RyanSilva Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 Thanks guys! Getting closer, whats left to do? Clean up door seams from the black wash mount windows, and make side windows. re-weather some goofed spots on the bed sides and the hood work in some green into the rust, to look a tad less spotty mount up interior, and weather engine bay. (no engine..its part of the diorama, its getting a new engine in the scene..)
