Look at our old pal Milt taking the "who, me?" stance on this one...That's OK, you know what the say about paybacks! ;)

It'll take me a little while, but I'll find just the perfect kit or PE set for you to "win" at the next event... :D

"PE"? Is that Prostate Exam? :)

That's pretty funny, Milt!!

PE=photo etched...and I've got just the perfect project in mind for you... :P

I don't do PE stuf Raul. My 8" sheet metal shears just can't get straight edges, and if they do, I have a hard time lining the parts up when using my "liquid nails" glue to hold them in place. :(

dont know if youre kidding but in case you are not:

>My 8" sheet metal shears just can't get straight edges,

cut PE with an xacto blade and then file the nib down with a mid-coarse sanding stick. or go to radio ###### shack and get a pair of cheap cutters (the only thing they have that seems to work) and dedicate them to cutting PE.

>using my "liquid nails" glue to hold them in place

dont use glue; use the miracle substance, future floor polish to hold small PE detail parts. works like a champ. clear overcoat lacquer will work too but future is more forgiving.

I was kidding. Tried a PE part once. Trimmed it nicely with a new #11 blade, started to put it in place on some Future. It flipped off of my sharp tipped tweezers and I haven't seen it since.

i can identify with that. a very small bit of blue tac on the end of a toothpick works a lot better than tweezers for photo etch.

no i dont have an answer for everything but that particular scenerio ive been through once or twice!
