Janne Herajärvi Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Here is my 32` 5 window coupe project, its having moon hub caps, spark plug wires, decals from here and there and Auburn gauge panel/dash from Replicas & Miniatures etc... My plan was make satin finish for paint job, but because of decals i had to make it shine first, so decals wouldnt do silvering, but i guess my Humbrol satin clear is bit too old, since it did not work as i tought.. Well model is going to stay shiny now and im going to move forward to get this.. Its all the way brush painted, you can see hint of green on body and rear axle, that was my color choise for this years ago, never got it finished as green, so now i got new take for it as black.... I like it better now..
Janne Herajärvi Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 Some progress... Im taking chrome parts to minimum, but still leaving some shiny here and there.. Close up shot for engine.. Cheers!
GMCMAN52 Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 looking good like the progress that you made so far
Janne Herajärvi Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 Thank you guys... Im having so much fun with building this, that i had to take another 32 also on table, im going to save glue bomb 62 Impala 409 engine for that since that Impala body is bit hopeless condition.. Dont worry i have untouched one in shelf for future.. That 409 goes for 32 sedan..
Janne Herajärvi Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 Im calling interior done... "With shaking hands i put start key on lock, will the engine run?" Nope Cheers!
horsepower Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Looks really good, but as an FYI on your next early Hemi, your valve covers are on upside down, the longer flat goes on the exhaust side of the head.
Janne Herajärvi Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) Thank you guys, its 99,8% finished now... Only tail lights need to be added.. I have to wait for tomorrow to take "under glass" photos... but here you have a teaser shot... Edited July 27, 2016 by Janne Herajärvi
horsepower Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 They look correct to me the ones on the blown 392 we had in our blown alcohol flat bottom were the other way with the long side to the bottom, but they were M/T valve covers that may have been the difference.
