crazyjim Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Looks like Chicago had some pretty nasty weather yesterday. Here's a video Marcia got from the weather channel.https://weather.com/news/news/chicago-cta-train-damage-storm
Joe Handley Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Don't know about Chicago, but things were fine between We-Go and Lombard. Things did get NASTY on Sunday though, I was heading back to We-Go from the southern end of Naperville (Mom is back in the Nursing Home down there) and at one point it was raining so hard that my wipers couldn't keep up and I thought I was going to have to pull over and let the storm pass!
Harry P. Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I'm sure most of you have heard the old saying about the weather in Illinois...You don't like the weather? Wait five minutes... it'll change!
peteski Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) I'm sure most of you have heard the old saying about the weather in Illinois... You don't like the weather? Wait five minutes... it'll change! I don't think so! That is exactly what we say in Boston about the New England weather! Edited July 27, 2016 by peteski
Harry P. Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 We have days here where it's in the 40s one day, and 75-80 the next.

peteski Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 We have days here where it's in the 40s one day, and 75-80 the next. Looks like that saying is more widespread than Chicago and New England. https://www.google.com/search?q=You+don't+like+the+weather%3F+Wait+five+minutes
Rob Hall Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I've heard that phrase when when I lived in NE Ohio and in Colorado. By the way, where is 'We-Go'?
Joe Handley Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Sorry, We-Go, at least at one time, was short hand for West Chicago as in We-st Chica-Go.
