I'm glad I bought the last reissue Big Deuce when I did. Prices on it are still crazy.

I,for one. never really cared for the Lindberg kits. The Extreminator was kind of interesting, but I never bought one. The others looked too 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for me. I remember watching an old Gumby cartoon tears ago ,and he was driving a Lindberg T bucket. I guess he was too big to fit in a 'Big T'.

Got a great parts stash of Big T parts from an estate sale.

To my surprise, it included most of the Drag Race accessory set and the bonus, a Competition engine from the Chevrolet V8 Engine kit.

Looks like there's enough to do a variation of the Big Drag.

Shows that the stuff's out there.

Space was an issue with me.

In the early 90's I got a 70's? issue Big T that was on display at my local hobby when I was a kid. I stored it for years.

About 3 years ago I found the perfect 1/8 scale display case and put the Big T in it.

A month later I locally stumbled onto nice survivor Big Rod, Big Tub, Big Drag and a 65 Vette.

All I need now is the pedestal for the display engine.

Wow, that display case fits the bill nicely.

Does the front glass swing open for access?

Great built finds too.

If it's anything like the ones I have the back door is the only one that is able to open

It is a rear door so you load it then very very carefully move it. :)

With resin 3d printing with us these days it is a wonder a subject such as this has not popped up. I have friend who is into large scale models and he has printed all sorts of 1/8 scale stuff - mostly early drag stuff.

But it has… 3DScale Parts offers the rollbar, header and steering wheel package for the “Big Drag”.

The biggest issue seems to be chrome plating the 3D printed items.

It's one of the rare occasions where I have to side with the industry.

When Lindberg refilled a plethora of their big scale tools with fresh styrene a while back, they were hard pressed to shift 5,000 units, despite the Exterminator was among them,
originals of which were silly money back then and the shouts for its reissue were loud and widespread.

Monovell followed suit with quite a few or their old big scale chod, including the Big Tub, and must have faced a similar feat, considering the stuff was still all over the internet
years later and finally sold at heavily discounted rates (guess when I bought mine).

RoG regularly fell on the nose when they repopped the '65 'Vette, E-type and Big Deuce.

These big scale thingys require a healthy dose of injectable to begin with, sizeable packaging and consequently high shipping costs per unit, hence I guess there is very little
dosh going into the bank account after the dust has settled. All these things considered, even I wouldn't bother.

A perfect example of high auction prices don't necessarily indicate enough demand for the reissue of a kit.
