unclescott58 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Despite the incorrect features by AMT, the kit looks great.
Sixties Sam Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Great looking RR! Good color choice, very well done. I know a guy who had a real 68 Road Runner that he kept in near perfect shape. It was lost in a garage fire - it was literally melted! Sad.Sam
crazyjim Posted August 18, 2016 Author Posted August 18, 2016 Thanks Sam. A burned up machine has to hurt.
DeeCee Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 That is one sweet Road Runner Jim, great details ans an OH SO SWEET paint job, a beautiful build mate..
bogger44 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Wow that Cocoa Pearl is one sweet color and it looks right at home on this bad boy. Another great build, Jim.
Peter Lombardo Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Jim.... really well done.... the color is just so period correct for that car.... love it.
Robberbaron Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Looks like you have one of the infamous RC2 era kits (i.e. Racing Champions, NOT Round 2) that mixed together the chrome tree from the '68 Roadrunner with the body for the '69 GTX. Impressive job making it look this, good considering the issues with the taillights. Most people write these kits off as unbuildable due to those issues, and view them only as a parts source.
Modlbldr Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Jim, Thanks for the info on the primer. The difference in white or grey would make a big difference in the final color. Later-
