Art Laski Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 My brother asked me to make a diecast replica of Newgarden's first Indy car win at Barber Motorsports Park in 2015 for him. He was the gearbox specialist for Josef the entire time he was with Sarah Fisher/CFH/ECR Racing, and now they are both leaving the team. I started with the latest Greenlight 1/64 Indy Car with the new aero kits. The only problem is that it is in speedway configuration and I needed a road course version. So I got out the styrene and fashioned some elements for the front wings, rear wing, and the winglets on the rear pods. I also lengthened the pods like they needed to be, and also so the decal would fit. The decals are from GWS, and, man, in 1/64, they were small!! The Laski kid is on the left front here Started with a Dixon diecast
Art Laski Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 Here are the completed pics after clear coat and assembly. It's got a few flaws, but will be just great for its intended purpose. Thanks for looking!
