I love the concept!!...but the wheels don't really do it for me, and by minimizing the fins and rear bumper, somehow they've made it look a bit like a Henry J:unsure:

IMO  Cadzilla was more about in your face visual style / change

This ones more about subtle changes with LOTS of hidden / under body upgrades. and conveniences.

To be honest Cadzilla wasn't my cup of tea. But would  drive the snot out of this one

I agree 2. The original is a super looking car. I think taking classic cars and customizing them is getting old. It's been done before and nothing new really comes from "recreating" them. Leave them alone, there are not many originals left in the world.

Much as I love customs, I pretty much agree with this point of view now.

Thing is, it's relatively easy to pull a set of molds off of a classic and start with a full fiberglass shell to hack up...instead of hacking a survivor.

Most cars like the OP aren't going to be built on stock running gear or frames anyway...Art Morrison chassis with something like Corvette C5 suspension, LS or Coyote power, etc...so it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to irrevocably alter a rare car.

On the other hand, if you pull a rotting hulk out of a junkyard, something that's just too far gone to make a straight restoration feasible, well, no reason not to go for it.

Better to have something old wildly customized than melted down to make more Camrys.    :D

I'd drive the wheels off, too (with an impact wrench, and put them on Craigslist :P)...

Looks more like a '55 Chevy from the front:

Trouble is, they usually use good cars for these customs to save time to meet show deadlines, right?

That was my first impression: a strange-looking Henry J!  Only after the second look the fins said: Cadillac. I also agree about the wheels - not a fan.

We need more Camry's in this world

count me in on giving this thing a "nose job".

I was really digging it till I saw the nose... it's like two different people did the custom decisions, one for the front and a different person designed the custom parts back of the cowl.

I think Foose or Kindig would have done better.

Why don't some of these car customizers do a few Civics or Camry's instead of hosing up classic iron? It's because they all copy each other and work on the same canvas.

Yeah, the tail kinda works. The nose...nah.

i was thinking it might look better if we could see the nose and the rest of the car at the same time.

Well, a little better, but it's lost the grace and integration of the original. All the shapes in front are fighting each other, and nothing flows.
