Austin NJ
The very beginnings of a first attempt at using spare parts to build a 29 Ford lakes roadster from the 40's ish. Criticism is welcome. This is a first try at piecing together a whole car from different model kits. I plan to channel the body and I have a model t style short pickup bed that'll hide the rear end. geetee66
Now that's proper hot-rodding!Gonna look good. Are you giving it some lake dirt, like it's been given some beans on a timed run?
espo
Kind of like the old days when you built what you could with what you had or could scrounge. I see some others doing this and it looks interesting for sure. You mentioned the '40's time frame and that makes me think of the Race of Gentlemen that started there on the east coast. There has been a lot of coverage about it in the enthusiast magazines of late, and even the same organization just held an event at Pismo Beach Ca. and even the rain couldn't stop it. Just a thought if you are looking for any addition inspiration on your build. I'll enjoy watching your build.
