Ron Hamilton Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Great find!! I love those cars. Several years ago, I found a couple of "builder" MPC '68 GTOs in my travels. I was able to strip them clean, and cut them apart for re-assembly. On this one, I decided on a vinyl roof. I used the chassis and underhood area from a 1969 442, as it gave me more detail than the original MPC Pieces. The engine came from the Revell '68 Firebird 400. This is one of my favorite builds. I have one more to do, probably in Red to match a friend's one-to-one. I am quite sure yours will be stunning.
59 Impala Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 Thanks Ron and yours look great. I really like the dark Blue one. I've got mine stripped already and working on the interior. The chassis isn't the greatest but it's all I got to work with. I was hoping that I didn't get burnt on this and I'm glad I didn't. It is going to take a lot of work to get-er-done, but I do like a challenge. And this one is a real challenge. LOL. Dan
