I stopped at Radio Shack and picked up 1N914 Type diodes, they look to scale on 1/25 cars but haven't checked them on 1/24. I'll have pics after I get on my Hemi GTX. I got a pack of 50 for about $2.70

and the best part is: they dont have to work! just look purty.

thats a real plus for anything from radio shack because in my experience they have about a 50% rejection rate on electronics components.

nice one mike! like your sig too!

Just a thought, couldnt the leads of the diode also be used for part of the fuel line?

I have used diodes (or maybe they are resistors, don't know for sure) for many models, and you just bend and cut the leads to resemble the fuel line. "No assembly required". :( As a matter of fact, I have seen the very same thing at model shows, bagged and labeled as "1:25 fuel line with filter". Those cost way more than the ones from Radio Shack, where you can get a lifetime supply for a few bucks. :(

Here's one in use, it was a little hard trying to make it fit because some parts have'nt been glued on yet. Trim to fit, bend and glue in.

Nice Mike,

How did you attach the second carb line?

I drilled the carbs then inserted a piece I trimed from the diode, then glued and hoped for the best. The glue is Insta-Cure+ from Hobbytown. If you don't have a Hobbytown, check bsiadhesives.com.
